How to paint in miniature using oil paints with artist Tracy Marshall Gorman.

A 6-week course starting on Thursday 21st Jan - 25th Feb at 7.30-9pm on Zoom with 1 Hillside Studio.  During this 6-week course join artist Tracy Marshall Gorman to explore miniature paintings in the medium of oil.

Tracy Marshall Gorman creates beautiful works of art in miniature and has taught throughout Glasgow and surrounding areas to groups of all ages and abilities.

This informal, relaxed course will be delivered via zoom. Each weekly session will take you through stages of creating your own mini masterpiece in oil painting.  This course is suitable for all levels including beginners.

Tracy will guide you through all the stages of the making process, from selecting the best subject and images to work from to looking at creating interesting surfaces and backgrounds.  Tracy will also advise on how to mix colours when using oil paints, building up layers, laying on mid-tones, adding glazes and highlights and finally how to finesses your finished pieces of artwork.

This will be a relaxed art class, grab a glass of wine and enjoy some time to switch off, unwind and escape into painting with a talented local artist.

Art kits are also available to purchase. These include all the materials that will be used for the course, delivered to your home.

20cm Linen Board

10cm Linen Board

1 Set of small brushes

1 x 75ml Liquin Original

You do not need this if you already have what is in the list or if you want to get your own supplies.
